Since autonomic dysfunction affects quality of life (QOL) , understanding its symptoms and taking appropriate measures are important in the management of Parkinson’s disease. Symptoms include dizziness, lightheadedness, and syncope associated with orthostatic hypotension, as well as nausea, vomiting, and constipation due to gastrointestinal dysfunction. There are also fluctuations in motor symptoms associated with delayed absorption of levodopa. It is also important to recognize that some symptoms are atypical.
